ULTRAFRAGOLA mirror, designed by Ettore Sottsass. Italy, 1970.

Recent production mirror made of moulded fibreglass with hard back and shaped mirror. The frame is white, turning pink when the lights are switched on. Just fantastic!

Please note, dimmer switches can not be used in conjunction with this mirror (220 volts).

Designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1970 as part of the 'Mobili Grigi' series of bedroom and living room objects, the Ultrafragola Mirror/Lamp was the only piece from the collection to make it beyond the prototype phase. Ultrafragola is produced in white opaline and features a pink neon LED light. When switched off the frame is brilliant white, when switched on the neon light produces a bright pink glow.
