Ceiling lamp designed by Matteo Thun. Italy, Memphis, 1983.
The 'Santa Fe' ceiling lamp made of glazed porcelain with an inscription in gold lettering: 'Thun per Memphis'. The ceiling cap is also made of glazed porcelain. The lamp holds one E27 lightbulb.
Matteo Thun studied architecture in Florence and went on to teach and work with a group of students making limited edition ceramics. In 1978, he met Ettore Sottsass in Milan and worked for his firm, Sottsass Associati, until he opened his own studio in 1984.
Condition:
The lamp is in alsmost new condition, but has been restored after a breakage (see image).
