Pair of low chairs designed by Tito Agnoli. Italy, Arflex, 1969.

Two seating elements from the Novemila series produced by Arflex and reupholstered in ivory white boucle material. The chairs have brown rounded legs. Very comfortable indeed!

Tito Agnoli (1931–2012) was an Italian architect and designer, born into an Italian family in Lima, Peru. After moving to Italy post-war, he studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, graduating in 1959, and worked as an assistant to Gio Ponti and Carlo De Carli. Agnoli became renowned for his prolific, inventive furniture and lighting design, collaborating with leading Italian manufacturers such as Arflex, Oluce, and Bonacina. His work, blending natural and industrial materials, is celebrated for its clean lines and functional elegance. Agnoli was nominated for the Compasso d’Oro and won the gold medal at NeoCon Chicago in 1986. His designs are held in collections like MoMA, New York.
