Original vintage 'BAMBOLE' sofa, with recent upholstery in mustard/yellow velvet fabric. What makes this sofa special is the apparent absence of a load bearing structure, the extreme naturalness of the shape, and the combination of comfort, softness and elasticity that the appearance conveys.

Mario Bellini (born 1935 in Milan) is a renowned Italian architect and designer who graduated from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1959. He began his career at Olivetti, creating iconic products like calculators and radios, before excelling in furniture for Cassina, such as the CAB chairs and La Rotonda table. Bellini earned eight Compasso d’Oro awards and designed major architecture like the Tokyo Design Centre and Louvre's Islamic Art wing.
